At the ILC we always welcome
applications to study for a postgraduate degree. through the University of
Durham we can offer the following programmes:
- PhD (typically 3 years full time)
- MPhil
- MSc by research
We have excellent facilities to
support PhD studies within the ILC, including:
- A fully equipped, state-of-the-art
geotechnical laboratory dedicated to landslide research
- A Land Rover to allow field studies
in remote locations
- A lightweight shell and auger
drilling rig
- Terrestrial laser scanning
equipment
- Our own computer systems
- A high quality digital
photogrammetry system
We have extensive experience with
working with students from the UK and overseas, and can offer a friendly working
environment. We operate in many countries around the world (current
examples include New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Nepal, Bhutan, Gibraltar,
Portugal and Japan). We can support field-, computer and lab-based
studies.
